Flywire is a leading provider of global payment solutions. With a number of overseas offices, they were in need of their first London-based office that would be suitable for a collaborative, open-plan design and administer space for future expansion plans as the company continues to further grow in years to come.
A large part of the design was dedicated to a breakout and collaboration area that would allow employees to be able to relax and enjoy time away from their desk when needed. Features include a large breakfast bar and quirky furniture to provide a multi-functional space.
Making good use of the already existing space and features was a key part of the concept. The building, located in Folgate Street, Spitalfields, already adorned an impressive exposed ceiling which was left as it was to promote the buildings’ historic core. Hanging pendant lights were installed and carefully positioned to seemingly divide up spaces whilst providing a visually pleasing contrast between the contemporary and industrial aesthetics.
Brand identity was an important consideration throughout the whole of the space and the “Flywire blue” was integrated into furniture and walls throughout. A feature mesh wall with neon branding acts as a centrepiece in the entrance and reception area which portrays the clients branding and voice.
Although the client was US-based, ThirdWay strived to go the extra mile when it came to attending meetings and conference calls to ensure that everyone involved was on the same page in terms of what we were aiming to achieve throughout the duration of the project.
Key features: Feature mesh wall with neon branding, open acoustic boots, large breakout area with brick slips, breakfast bar, quirky furniture.
