ThirdWay strived to create a space that captured the client's imagination first and foremost.  The building has an enjoy-work ethos and is incredibly productive, with lots of natural light and surroundings that include a lake and a park. Blackstone wanted to inject some character to appeal to a wider tenant mix as some tenants struggle to see beyond a Cat A finish.

The brief was very unique as the space was to have two distinct environments to encourage both media and corporate clients to see how the space could be used. 

One side is a more conventional style office that follows the standard foundation of a raised floor and a suspended ceiling. The other side is stripped back with exposed features, raw timber and darkened materials. This creates a clean & crisp feeling office on one side which dramatically contracts with the raw and edgy office next to it.

This was a new concept to everyone involved and we have found that when people come into the finished space, they naturally steer towards their preferred side without any coercion.

A lot of thought was put into the joinery elements and furniture selection. ThirdWay’s furniture solutions company, Tribe, sourced all the furniture utilising the close relationship with the ThirdWay design team to help build the project together. Raw finishes give the more creative side of the space an industrial look with a mixture of eclectic, mid-century pieces of furniture. The corporate side includes sleek finishes, clean lines, and a contemporary monochrome colour scheme resulting in a very slick and professional environment. A unique feature in the space is the grid system within the crittall glazed partitioning which was a first for ThirdWay.  

Since completing this marketing suite, Thirdway have gone on to complete several more plug and play spaces with Blackstone and other lands, pioneering the new concept of Cat A+: creating a fully finished, unbranded workspace for landlords to market without a specific end user in mind.
