Blue Cube, a corporate travel management company, was in need of a complete CAT A and CAT B fit-out for their new 5,700 sq ft future home. They sought a subtle yet exciting space that would gently nudge towards an East London scene.
Finding a balance between a bright and inspiring space that was still contemporary and didn’t have an overpowering travel theme, was an important part of the brief. The design incorporated parts of East London through exposed brickwork, raw concrete and an exposed mechanical ceiling, which was painted white. The existing space is bordered with floor to ceiling glazed windows which allows natural light to flood in. The surrounding light is accentuated through soft and light finishes and a layout that was designed with staff in mind, to ensure that they benefit the most from the natural and positivity-boosting elements. White Crittal was chosen for the internal glazing which accentuates the space and contributes to the natural and bright design.
A bespoke reception desk was made and installed with the clients branding integrated into the design. This is complemented by a Kaza concrete tiled feature wall, providing a striking centrepiece to the entrance hall. A range of plants was implemented throughout the space as well as a unique foliage wall feature in the meeting room, tying into the natural elements of the design. Plants were also added into the kitchen/breakout area to differentiate the space and aid a calm and relaxing environment.
Key features: all new mechanical ceiling and lighting, white Crittall feature to internal glazing, bolon flooring, new WC’s and shower, hanging pendant lights in the kitchen area, bespoke reception desk and Kaza concrete tiled feature wall.
