Want to work with ThirdWay? We'd love to find out if we could be right for you.
get in touchThe Corner Building boasts charming Victorian Architecture, quintessential of its historic Clerkenwell location. The landlord purchased the building as a letting opportunity and with the lease of 3 floors coming to an end, seized the opportunity to refresh and modernise the existing space.
The building consists of seven floors in total and ThirdWay were tasked to work on floors one, three and six as well as the reception and common parts. Each floor is a separate demise with private toilets and direct access from the lift.
The brief was to create a clean, contemporary office for a tenant ideally in the tech/media industry (which is dominant in this area), and to refresh the common areas of the building, whilst ensuring that the design would be unified throughout all floors.
The Cat A fit-out promotes the unique features of the building and is designed with an exposed ceiling and a subtle industrial vibe which typically appeals to the more creative occupier.
Lead designer, Martyna Skoczek, explored the route of exposed services and added a unique splash of colour to the electrical conduits and light cabling that match up with existing copper finishes already present in the building, injecting some life into the blank canvas.
The fit-out has a unique style and character but is flexible to suit various styles of Cat B fit-out at a later date. The success of this project has led to the potential of refurbishing the remaining 3 floors of The Corner Building once vacant.
