The client wanted to expose as much of the original features as possible to keep the history and originality behind the space.
We had planned to lay hardwood flooring, however, during the strip out we uncovered the original 1960s factory parquet flooring. The parquet was covered in screed and the majority of the restoration companies we contacted did not think the floor was salvageable. We finally sourced a specialist contractor to take on the job and the results are fantastic!
